Born: London SE1, 1959.

 

Early Years: Gary spent his early years around Bermondsey, making him a keen surporter of Millwall FC.

 

Working Life: After leaving Bacons C of E School in 1976, Gary had a few jobs including driving, working in Smithfield meat market and running a small haulage firm.

 

Taxi Career: Gary sold his haulage firm after receiving his green badge in 1996.

 

Charity Work: Gary joined the committee of the Albany Taxi Charity Fund in 1997 and has held many different positions, including that of treasurer since 2005. In 2003, Gary joined the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers and became a freeman of the city of London.
