Mylton Burden began his career with the London Ambulance Service as a technician and is now a business support manager.

 

He has been supporting the Taxi Charity’s medical team on trips to Normandy and the Netherlands as well as within the UK since 2021.

 

Mylton became an ambassador for the charity in October 2024 and said:

 

"It is an absolute privilege to be asked to become an ambassador for this very special charity. I was originally asked by my colleague Abbie to help her on a Taxi Charity trip in 2021 and I could never have imagined what a pleasure it would be to join this 'charity family' on a regular basis. There is a wonderful sense of camaraderie between the drivers, the volunteers and the veterans, and I have made so many new friends. To hear the veterans share their stories is an honour, and volunteering to support them is my way of giving something back to this very special generation."
