Sadly, we have been told tonight that another veteran has departed us. Davie Mowatt, 4th Battalion Seaforth Highlanders, bravely fought through France with the 51st Highland Division in June 1940 and was captured with the remainder of the Division at St Valery. He became a POW in Poland and took part on the 'Long March' in March 1945.
He was 94 on 9th December 2014.
Rest in peace, David. It was a pleasure to have known you.
