Thirty of the Taxi Charity's volunteer London cabbies will be escorting 40 veterans and their carers to Normandy for the 75th anniversary commemorations of D-Day from 3 - 8 June.

12:30 Meet and registration at Brittany Ferries vehicle holding area
14:45 Depart Portsmouth Brittany Ferries
21:30 Arrive Ouistreham - to be met by six-man motorcycle escort
22:30 Arrival at hotels in Caen and Benouville
Tuesday 4 June 2019
10:45 Arrive at Caen Town Hall - to be greeted by 30 local school children.
11:00 Reception for veterans
12:00 Lunch with performance from solo female singer. Children return to sing both national anthems.
15:00 Return to hotels
19:00 Evening meal at hotels

9:30 Depart hotels - five taxis with one motorcycle escort are going to Colleville-Montgomery, with remainder of group going to Pegasus Bridge Museum
10:00 Arrive Memorial Pegasus - Ceremony and legion d’honneur presentations with fly past by american aircraft
12:30 Lunch at Breville Les Monts
15:00 Mass parachute drop at Sannerville; return to hotels
19:00 Evening meal at hotels
