The Taxi Charity would like to bid a sad farewell to Christine Wren, a loving mother and grandmother who gave unconditional love.
Christine was a dedicated organiser at South Holmwood Village Club for over 25 years.
She worked tirelessly preparing sandwiches, cakes, teas and coffees for all the war veterans that passed through South Holmwood on their annual trip to Worthing.
Everyone may remember her “trademark corned beef pasties” which seemed to be a favorite.
She also organised fundraising events for the veterans and the Taxi Charity.
Due to her illness, Christine reluctantly hung up her boots this year, but not without a fight.
She was a fun, outgoing and caring person who gave tirelessly throughout her life, right until the end.
She will be terribly missed by her family and friends and all those that knew her and those who were lucky enough to meet her at the annual Taxi Charity events.
