On Friday 20 May, volunteers from the Taxi Charity attended the opening of the First In, Last Out: The Last Men of The 6th Airborne Division exhibition at the Imperial War Museum Duxford.
Portrait photographer Robin Savage, who is a great friend to the Taxi Charity, has captured photographs of the last surviving 17 veterans of the 6th Airborne Division in their homes, displayed alongside reflections on their wartime service but also their post‐war lives and how the experiences shaped them.
One of the 17 veterans featured is Bill Gladden, who will be joining the Taxi Charity in Normandy in early June for the D-Day commemorations.
