The Taxi Charity is delighted to be able to deliver wonderful goodie bags to veterans which have been donated by the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity. Each bag contains cheese, crackers, chutney, biscuits, marmalade, tea bags, coffee, chocolate and a wee dram of booze!
Volunteers from the Taxi Charity, including our chairman, Ian Parsons, and his wife, Anne, have been out delivering the bags of treats to naval veterans in and around the London area, including Légion d'honneur recipient, Marie Scott, and fellow WWII veterans Roy (Doug) Miller, Alf Lonsdale and Harry Rice.
Both the RNRMC and the Taxi Charity are aware of how difficult life under lockdown must be for our veterans, and we hope this gesture might act as a little reminder that we are thinking of them during this unprecedented time.
