Taxi Charity escorts WWII veterans to RNRMC event

On Tuesday 2 August, the Taxi Charity was delighted to join the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) at their 'Summer in the City' event.

The event at Television Centre and White City Place gave visitors the chance to see inside a Royal Navy Life Raft, listen to performances from the Royal Marines Band meet Royal Navy Officers and talk to volunteers from the RNRMC and the Taxi Charity who explained how veterans are supported.

Our volunteer cab drivers brought WWII naval veterans, Ernie Davis, Marie Scott, John King and Peter Kent, who attracted a lot of interest from the visitors and thoroughtly enjoyed chatting with them.

The weather was perfect and we are grateful to our friends at the RNRMC for inviting us to join them at this special event. And thank you to Angus Rosier, RNRMC’s photographer, and Yordana Shopova, RNRMC’s digital communications officer, for sharing their wonderful photos with us.
