WWII veterans interviewed at Imperial War Museum by RNRMC for short film about loneliness

On Friday 1 November, the Taxi Charity escorted four veterans to the Imperial War Museum (IWM) in London to be filmed by the Royal Navy Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC).

The four veterans, Ernie Davies, Marie Scott, Dickie Edser and Peter Kent, were filmed at the Soviet Citizens WWII Memorial in the gardens of the IWM. They were driven there by cabbies, Ian and Seb.

The RNRMC is producing a short film on loneliness amongst veterans and they wanted to highlight the relationship between the veterans and our volunteer taxi drivers.

Richard Jinman, a photographer from the National Lottery, which is 25 years old this month, joined the group near the end of filming at the memorial and then everyone headed off to the Prince of Wales pub nearby, where the interviews and filming carried on.
